The Mighty Superlites and Motolites

                           TMCC SUPERLITE / MOTOLITES 2010.

The Superlite class has been a valued class of  TMCC Road Racing since it’s inception in 1998. It offers a superb entry level class to the world of road racing, low cost and the availability of competitive machinery make the mighty Superlite a great first choice ( for some , the ONLY choice ! ). These machine are very robust, rarely suffer expensive crash damage and once set up require minimal maintenance. Chassis limitations reduce any advantage that may other wise be gained by horsepower increases, so the emphasis is on a smooth riding style, with a machine that behaves itself most of the time. This is the 3rd incantation of the Superlite rules for the TMCC, as the club and class has grown over the years, so the rules have evolved accordingly.

Rules for both of these classes are taken from the BRA - ( New South Wales Bucket Racing Association ) and will be updated from time to time in an effort to maintain a national machinery standard .

Homologation requests can be submitted to the TMCCRR committee for consideration.

Only minor modifications may be made to the frame to allow the fitment of seat, triple clamps (steering stops), shock mount positions, or fuel tanks. The addition of bracing and removal of unnecessary brackets. No restrictions on the use of swing arms. Frame must remain in the original configuration and only twin shock frames to be used. (i.e. no single shock frames permitted).

    2a) Frame Modifications
The decision as to whether a modification is to be regarded as minor is to be determined be the TMCC committee. Persons are directed to contact the TMCCRR committee to seek a determination as to whether a modification is eligible.
  3. Forks: Forks must be no larger than 33mm in diameter.
  4. Engines: Heads, Barrels & Crankcases shall be from homologated non-competition Road or Trail machines only. The following are currently homologated:

    - Bridgestone: 90/100

    - Honda: CB100/125/175 K,J,S,N,T SL100/125, H100, MT125, CT/125/185/200, XL100/125/175/185/200, ATC200 XR200.

    Engine Modifications:
4a) 4 stroke Cylinder head modifications:
4ai) 4 stroke cylinder heads shall remain in original configuration i.e. Valves shall remain original angles and position and shall remain standard sizes only (no larger valves to be fitted)
    4aii) Porting is permitted
4aiii) Camshaft modifications are permitted. Note: Camshafts that interchange between homologated models may be used. i.e. CB may be used in XL, GS may be used in DR etc.

4b) 2 stroke cylinder modifications: 2 stroke barrels/cylinders shall be restricted to an exhaust port width of 70% of the bore diameter with the standard number of ports.
  5. Brakes: Brake modification is permitted. Disc brakes are limited to single or twin piston callipers only.
