Even if you do not intend following
the race circuit at the moment, a Club License is still $205 for Juniors and
$220 for Seniors, and you will find it will limit your racing to only local
club days. Alternatively, you can get a One Event License (usually only
allowed on Club Days) for $44, however this now only applies to Seniors –
see below.
JUNIOR LICENSES
As from 1st July, 2006, every
junior competition race license holder & new applicant
(ages 7 – under 16) will have to:
1.
Complete at least 5
hours coaching with an accredited coach on an accredited track, EVERY YEAR
until you are 16.
2.
Complete extra
coaching if you want to ride a 125cc 2-stroke or 250cc 4-stroke. This will
count towards the five hours of coaching you need to do each year.
These changes are part of the Junior
Coaching Program that Motorcycling Australia and Motorcycling Queensland have
put in place to make motorcycle sport safer.
(Please Note – Juniors are now no
longer able to race on a one day license, unless they have previously
completed the compulsory 5 hours of coaching). Refer to www.mqld.org.au
for
more licensing information.
